Gains

I’ve been running round in circles
Running til I can’t feel my pain
All around me people move with purpose
Trying to turn disaster into gains

I’ve been keeping isolated
For fear of things I don’t understand
I’ve been getting overly frustrated
The days slip away like sand

I went running round in circles
Until I felt nothing but pain
I went running without a purpose
